Woman's Body Found Outside Tulsa OSU Medical Center

Tulsa Police Homicide Detectives are investigating after OSU Medical Center security found a woman’s body in a parking lot.

Police said the security officers were walking around the building and found the woman with blood on the back of her head.

"The security officers did a good job,” said Danny Bean with Tulsa Police. “They contacted us and also contacted the medical staff immediately. The medical staff went out there and declared it actually was a deceased body."

Detectives are still trying to figure out who she is and how she got to the hospital.

"We don't know if she was dead when she arrived, but when they were able to get hands on her and get medical attention to her, she was already deceased,” said Bean.

Police said there are several security cameras around the hospital which could give them some answers.

Officers said situations like this aren't uncommon.

"Someone gets hurt badly, someone gets shot badly, and they don't want anything else to do with. They will dump them off right there at the hospital and they'll get going,” said Bean.

Detectives said its early in the investigation, but they are investigating it as a homicide.
