Tulsa County 'Gun Battle' Leaves 2 Dead, 1 Wounded

Two men are dead after what authorities called a gun battle at a home in west Tulsa County. A woman was wounded but is expected to survive.

Tulsa County 'Gun Battle' Leaves 2 Dead, 1 Wounded

Two men are dead and a woman wounded after a triple-shooting near Highway 412 and 193rd West Avenue in Tulsa County Thursday night, according to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.

It happened at a home near West Wekiwa Road and 193rd West Avenue. Authorities were called to the scene a little after 8 p.m. July 11.

TCSO released the names of the men Friday morning. They said 46-year-old Douglas Dick shot his wife as he entered the home. He then began shooting at 43-year-old Ryan Huff, TCSO said.

"Huff then retrieved a gun and began shooting back at Dick," a news release states. "Both men died during the gun battle inside the home."

TCSO said they found bullet holes all around the house.

Dick's wife was able to get outside, and authorities found her outside the house. The sheriff's office said she was alert and talking at the time, and they believe she's going to be OK.

Her wound was to the head, TCSO said.

Authorities told News On 6 Huff was estranged from his wife and was staying at the home. Neither man owned the house, TCSO said. They said the motive appears to be domestic violence, investigators said.
