Tulsa Police said a man that jumped off of a bridge during a Police chase is in critical condition.
Tulsa Police said around 10:30 Tuesday morning a caller told them that someone fired a gun at him near 9th and Sheridan. The victim was then able to give police valuable information.
"This individual was able to give us a good vehicle description, a tag number of that vehicle so we were able to actually locate that vehicle pretty quickly," said Officer Pierce.
Osage Sky News 6 HD flew over the scene just minutes after Tulsa Police found the man in a black charger and began pursuit.
"As he was getting on 244, the north IDL he actually hit one of the walls from the highway and lost his two front tires of his vehicle," said Officer Pierce.
Police said that's when the man jumped off of the bridge. Police said the drop is so deceiving that an Officer who chased after the suspect almost jumped off as well but was stopped by another Officer.
"I don't think he realized that was such a steep incline there I think he was just trying to run from officers," said Public Information Officer Jeanne Pierce of the Tulsa Police Department. "When you are looking at that ledge it kind of looks like you're jumping into the grass but it is actually about 30 feet to the ground."
Police found a gun inside the vehicle and questioned the passenger. Right now the suspect is in police custody at a Tulsa hospital with severe injuries.
He could face a charge for pointing a deadly weapon and evading police. The suspect's name has not yet been released. The victim told police he had no idea who the suspect is or why he was shot at.
