Rita Williams-Garcia To Receive Anne V. Zarrow Award For Young Readers' Literature

The 2019 Anne V. Zarrow Award for Young Readers' Literature will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday, May 3 at the Hardesty Library in Tulsa.

This recipient is author Rita Williams-Garcia, who is being recognized for writing bestselling novels for young adults that inspire imaginations, dreams and pride in all ages.

She is the author of the Gaither Sister series including One Crazy Summer, P.S. Be Eleven and Gone Crazy in Alabama.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

Author Rita Williams-Garcia will be on hand to accept the award and sign her books. She will also present awards to winners of the 2019 Young People's Creative Writing Contest.

There will also be a book signing.
