The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery at a Bixby-area home Monday morning. They're looking for two suspects who got away after the robbery.
The Sheriff's Office said it happened at a home near 181st Street south and Memorial.
Authorities said a woman was getting into her car for work around 6:45 a.m. when she was approached by two men armed with a gun. They went inside where the woman's husband was and stole cash from both of them, TCSO said.
Deputies said the woman managed to escape and drive off, but the suspects pistol-whipped her husband before they left in a dark-colored car.
Neighbors did not want to go on camera but said they are shocked because of the quiet neighborhood and how rural this area is. Investigators say this is uncommon for this part of the county, and they can't remember crimes like this.
"Nothing that I can remember of this caliber," said Sergeant Travis Jones, TCSO.
"It's a fairly new neighborhood."
Investigators the suspects are described as two black males, between 5'9" and 6' and about 170 pounds. Both were wearing hoodies covering most of their faces.
