Muskogee Public Schools said they investigated a threat made against middle school students and don't believe it to be credible. A student threatened other students at Alice Robertson Junior High School, according to administrators.
Other members of the student body notified staff of the threat Friday morning, January 11, a news release states.
"Administrators immediately identified the student and began investigating the matter with the assistance of Muskogee Public Schools Police," the release states.
"There were necessary steps taken to determine that the threat did not place students and staff in imminent danger."
Superintendent of Muskogee Public Schools Jarod Mendenhall said they tell students to say something if they see something - so he appreciates that students felt comfortable in coming forward.
