Travel advisories continue for Tulsa to the west with some icy conditions reported. A wintry mix of cold and freezing rain, light sleet and snow are possible across the area.
The winter weather advisory for areas along and west of Highway 75 has been extended through 6 a.m. Friday. We're primarily expecting rain around Tulsa this evening, but snow might mix in if you're west/southwest of Tulsa tonight.
Parts of southeast Oklahoma are also in an advisory from 6 p.m. Thursday night through 6 a.m. Friday.
The National Weather Service said travel-related ice impacts are mainly expected west of Highway 75 Thursday night. The impact from snow and some sleet are expected to increase Thursday evening into Friday morning, especially in southeast Oklahoma.
News On 6 Storm Tracker Darren Stephens said ice is accumulating on trees and powerlines near Cushing. The roads are wet but not slick as of about 3:30 p.m., he said.
Stroud also reports some icy conditions.
Travel advisories east of Tulsa have ended as Thursday's temperatures raised above the freezing point.
There is still a chance of slick spots on elevated surfaces, so be sure to use caution. There's also significant ponding on roadways that can play havoc with driving.
There may be some power outages, but the low wind speeds are expected to limit those.
