Union Alternative School Educator Honored As Impactful Teacher

News On 6 is recognizing another impactful teacher in Green Country.

Tess Maune and Alan Crone went to Union Alternative School to surprise English Teacher Zondra Clunn.

Clunn says she's been a teacher for about 25 years but decided it's time for her to become a student again and she's now in graduate school. She says she knows what her students are going through...

"I understand. I understand everything you feel. I understand test anxiety, when you don't want to get out of bed, but let's come in here, we'll do some dumb analogies every morning, and we'll just make it work," she said.

Clunn is receiving $500 from News On 6 and Wortman Central Air Conditioning to use however she'd like. Wortman Central Air Conditioning is also giving Clunn and her fellow teachers a nice lunch together.
