Sand Springs Police Look For Woman In Connection To Shooting

Sand Springs Police are looking for a woman they say was involved in a shooting Friday night.  Police are asking for the public's help to find Shannon Marie Davis, 25.

Police say the victim was staying at a friend’s house when Davis, his ex-girlfriend, called him on November 2nd and said she needed diapers and food stamps.

Police say Davis had two men with her in her car and one of them shot her ex-boyfriend.

“He put the diapers in the car and got in and sat down and, immediately, the guy in the back passenger seat started attacking him, hit him in the face with something hard,” said Captain Todd Enzbrenner.  “We believe it was the gun he was, ultimately, shot with.”

The victim fought back and police believe that’s why he was shot.

“You normally don’t bring two dudes with you to pick up food stamps and diapers from your ex-boyfriend, who is the father of your child,” said Enzbrenner.

Police say the victim jumped out of the car, ran into the house, and Davis and the two men drove off.

Officers say they’re wondering why the victim got into the car at all.

“It could have been a drug deal gone bad.  At this point, it really doesn’t matter,” Enzbrenner said.  “We have a victim who was shot in the stomach and we have a suspect who shot him that we need to get in touch with.”

Police say the victim is still in the hospital.

They say they need to find Shannon Davis to get her story and identify the men who were in her car.  If you know where she is, call the Sand Springs Police Department.

Davis was in a white 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor with Oklahoma tag GYQ-583 parked in the 900 block of North Cedar Avenue, a news release states.
