Police say a woman is dead, several others hurt following a five vehicle crash Monday in Broken Arrow.
The crash happened at 5:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Aspen Avenue between Albany and Kenosha.
Officers say a man driving south crossed the center line and hit a northbound car head-on. The unidentified woman driving the northbound car was killed.
Police say the rush-hour crash caused a chain reaction, wrecking five vehicles and leaving their occupants with minor injuries.
"Any loss of life in our city is significant but the fact that there were other minor injuries that could've been major injuries would've made it much worse than it actually was," said Broken Arrow Police officer Mike Peale.
Police arrested the driver they say caused the crash on suspicion of DUI.
