Tulsa's LaFortune Park Golf Course Reopens Following Renovations

A Tulsa County golf course is celebrating $3 million in renovations.  

The LaFortune Park Par 3 Golf Course held its grand opening Thursday evening.

The 52-year-old par three course in the 5500 block of South Yale has been under renovation for six months and now has new tee boxes, fairways and sand bunkers as well as brighter lights and an updated driving range.

"It's completely different appearance.  The new grasses they have out, so different. So much brighter and eye catching," said Richard Bales, Tulsa County Parks Director.

Bales says they'll keep the lights on at the course at night while the weather's nice, so folks can come out and enjoy the improvements.
