Tahlequah Man Killed Trying To Cross I-44 In Catoosa

A Tahlequah man was killed trying to cross Interstate 44 in Catoosa Saturday night, September 29, 2018. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said Billy Ray Lowe, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene by Pafford EMS.

Lowe was trying to cross the highway at 193rd East Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. when troopers said he was hit by an eastbound car. Troopers don't believe the driver was at fault, a collision report states.
