Police say a teenage burglary suspect is sitting in the Tulsa County jail after being on the run for nearly two weeks.
18-year-old Cassius Holdcroft is being held a hit and run complaint as well as 16 burglary complaints. This, just two months after Holdcroft pleaded guilty of burglary charges and getting a deferred sentence.
In his arrest report, police say Holdcroft came back on their radar on Wednesday, August 8th.
Police say Holdcroft and two other people stole a truck, then broke into cars parked in a Marriott Hotel parking lot. Officers say the three then led police on a chase where they crashed into three parked cars at the Walmart at 71st and Memorial.
They say the trio then ditched the truck and got away from police. Officers say they found stolen items inside that pickup.
Several days later, police say an officer spotted Cassius Holdcroft driving a stolen minivan away from an apartment complex near 31st and Yale, where more than 32 cars were broken into.
Police say once again, Holdcroft led officers on a chase until he crashed, got out and ran off, escaping custody for a second time.
Officers say the department's Fugitive Task Force tracked Holdcroft down and arrested him on Monday, August 20th.
He is now in jail waiting for a court appearance set for August 28th.
