A motorcyclist is expected to be OK after wrecking on Highway 51 at the Creek Turnpike in Broken Arrow Wednesday afternoon. One lane of the eastbound highway was closed starting around 1:40 p.m. as Broken Arrow police and firefighters responded.
Authorities at the scene told News On 6 the motorcyclist lost control of his bike and landed in the roadway. The motorcycle continued off the road through a barbed wire fence.
Broken Arrow Police said the adult male motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. They opened up the highway around 2 p.m.
No word on why the driver lost control.
