All Charges Dismissed Against Glenpool Man

All charges have been dropped against a Glenpool man after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman he knows. Eric Covington was charged last summer with one count of first-degree rape and one count of second-degree rape.

A woman told police she had taken a sleeping pill and woke to find him assaulting her, an affidavit stated. 

A review of court records shows the first-degree rape charge was dismissed on February 23, 2018, and the second-degree rape charge was dismissed on April 30, 2018.

News On 6 contacted Eric Covington's attorney to request an interview after the charges were dropped. The attorney said Covington "is respectfully declining the interview."
