Okmulgee County Deputies Seek To ID Person After Failed Trailer Theft

<p>Okmulgee County Sheriff's deputies are seeking to identify the person who attempted to steal a trailer from Wilson Public Schools but failed.</p>

The Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office is hoping to identify the people involved in a trailer theft and one failed attempt.

The sheriff’s office said around 6:00 a.m. July 23, 2017, cameras a Wilson Public Schools captured two people in a Chevy truck go onto school property and take a stock trailer.

As the people left, the trailer got disconnected and they abandoned it, a news release says.

The trailer was returned to the school.

The sheriff’s office said shortly after the failed theft, a similar stock trailer was stolen from a home south of the Wilson area at 194 Road.

Video from a home near Hoffman, Oklahoma shows the same truck transporting the trailer from 194 Road. A dark SUV was also seen following the truck and trailer, the sheriff’s office said.
