Two bass boats collided near Disney on Grand Lake Thursday morning, sending three people to the hospital.
It happened around 11:30 a.m.
Grand River Dam Authority spokesman Justin Alberty says the crash happened at a Fishing League Worldwide[FLW] event near Check In Bay. Authorities said 166 boats were out on the lake with the tournament.
Alberty says there were two people on each boat at time of the collision and three of them were taken to the hospital. He didn't know the extent of the injuries.
The GRDA says one boat almost t-boned the other boat, knocking all four men into the water. Visibility was very poor at the time of the crash due to fog and, and one of the drivers was wearing a face mask which may have limited his view.
GRDA police pulled the boats up just east of Disney near the spillways to take the injured to ambulances for transport.
Medical helicopters flew two of the men to Tulsa hospitals, a ground ambulance took the third man.
