Catoosa Public Schools is looking for a new superintendent.
Rick Kibbe submitted his resignation during Monday's school board meeting with plans to retire.
Kibbe ran for state representative last year but lost the primary election.
He was named Superintendent of the Year in 2009 by the Oklahoma Association of School Administrators.
