There is a special ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday at Tulsa's River Spirit Casino Resort's new hotel and conference center.
While the ceremony is Wednesday, guests will have to wait until Sunday, New Year's Day to stay in a room at the new 27-story hotel. That is when it officially opens to the public.
The casino's 30,000 square foot convention center will open this week. And the casino's Paradise Cove 2,700 seat theater and Ruth's Chris Steak House will January.
Back in November, Paradise Cove announced its January headliners, Jimmy Buffett, Don Henley and Alan Jackson.
The casino's Landshark Bar, Resort pool deck, outdoor event space and the new River Park trail will open in the Spring of 2017.
Guests at Wednesday's ribbon cutting at 2:30 p.m. include Muscogee Creek Chief James Floyd and Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum.
