A judge ruled a former University of Tulsa football player charged with murdering his own daughter will go to trial.

Tavarreon Dickerson's trial will begin March 27th.

Dickerson is accused of child abuse murder in the death of his 42-day-old child in January.

Dickerson said the girl had been fussy during the night and cried off and on and he took her into the living room at about 4 a.m. and held her as they went to sleep on the couch, police said. He discovered her limp and lifeless shortly after 5 a.m., according to police.
