Local Tennis Star Morgan Coppoc Signs With Georgia

The hard work is paying off for local tennis star Morgan Coppoc. The 17-year-old signed to play tennis at Georgia on Thursday.

She says she was hooked on the school and its highly successful program from the first time she visited the campus in Athens.

Coppoc has been training at the Tucker Tennis Academy at RH91 (formerly the Grand) in south Tulsa for the past few years. 

During that time, she's won tournaments all over the country and has competed in junior grand slam events like the US Open, French Open and Wimbledon. 

She's currently ranked as one of the top 100 junior players in the world. 

Coppoc credits her coaching and the atmosphere at the Tucker Academy for helping her achieve so much success. 

She says she would like to turn pro one day but that going to college is a good next step in her career.
