Tulsa's Guthrie Green Receives National Recognition

Tulsa's Guthrie Green is getting national attention. 

In a special ceremony, the American Planning Association officially designated Guthrie Green as one of America's Great Public Spaces.

That puts it in the top five public spaces in the nation. 

"Guthrie Green is important to the neighborhood and important to downtown because it allows a public space for everybody in the community to get together and enjoy the arts and fitness and all the tons of programs that we offer," said Meg Webb with the Guthrie Green. 

The American Planning Association recognizes streets, neighborhoods and public spaces that create economic growth and enrich the community.
