Current, Former Lawmakers Make Endorsements For Tulsa Mayor

A former Tulsa mayor and current Oklahoma senator is the latest to announce his support for a candidate in the current Tulsa mayor race.

Jim Inhofe said he’ll be backing current mayor, Dewey Bartlett.

“I’d be pretty hard-pressed to support the same candidate that’s being supported by the past Democrat mayors…” Inhofe said. “I’ll be supporting, and I’ll be voting for Dewey.”

Former senator Tom Coburn has also said he will support Bartlett in the race.

One of Bartlett’s challengers - current city councilor G.T. Bynum - has also received the endorsements of former Tulsa lawmakers.

Former mayors Susan Savage and Kathy Taylor announced their support for the city councilor.
