The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says one person is dead and another injured in a single-vehicle crash on the Will Rogers Turnpike.
The crash happened at about 10:18 Tuesday morning in the westbound lanes near the Verdigris River bridge. Troopers believe the Chevy Tahoe hydroplaned before hitting the inside wall and rolling once.
"At that time, it was raining really heavy out here," said Trooper Dwight Durant.
The driver was ejected and killed. A passenger was transported in serious condition, OHP states.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating but says the highway is still open.
Durant advised slowing down and leaving plenty of distance between your car and other drivers. He said they have responded to numerous wrecks over the past two days.
