Blaine Wells was murdered almost two weeks ago.
Police made an arrest on Thursday night.
Wells would've turned 24 next week. He was the oldest of four children and had lost both his mother and his father, but despite his struggles, his family says he was a good person with a heart of gold.
"What I want people to know is my nephew was by no means an angel,” Celia Gilmore said. “He had his faults, like we all do, but in this circumstance, he was an innocent bystander."
Wells was sitting in the back seat of a friend's car at a west Tulsa intersection when someone walked up and fired a shot into the window, hitting Blaine in the head.

Police arrested Shane Vanderpool. At first, they thought it was a drug deal gone bad, but now they say it could be a gang-related feud.
Wells’ family says he was not the intended target, just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"When you hear this, your mind goes to the dark side, mine does, that he was that kind of person,” Gilmore said. “He wasn't that kind of person. He was a good person who would give you the shirt off his back when he had nothing else to give."
The family has been frustrated by others claiming to be Wells’ family members and trying to profit from his death by setting up a fundraising page.
They say he was the first boy in their family and a gentleman through and through and saved many lives when his organs were donated and they'll miss him every day.
“His hugs,” Gilmore said. “His hugs and his smile."
They want people to know Wells has a family who loved him and they are grateful police made an arrest because they don't want to see anyone else hurt.
They hope if people have additional information about who was involved, they will come forward.
