Gundy Encourages Players To Enjoy Opportunity

Thursday, Ole Miss Coach Hugh Freeze said Mike Gundy reminds him of a high school coach, but that was a compliment based on how creative the Cowboys have been in finding ways to run the ball.

Among other things at the final news conference, was Gundy telling his players to enjoy some once in a lifetime moments.

"We get out the hotel and drive the wrong way down the trolley path on buses with police escort and they stop the traffic on Canal Street. I challenge them to have some type of opportunity in life where somebody would do that for them,” he said. “I just stressed to them the opportunity to play college football, to play in the Sugar Bowl and the opportunity they have."

Friday is game day. Kickoff in the Superdome is set for 7:30 p.m.
