Tulsa Police are investigating after finding a woman's body in a car Friday morning near 4th and Memorial.
Officers responding to a 911 call at about 3:15 a.m. found a Chevy Camaro parked on east 4th Place just west of Memorial Drive.
The found a woman's body in the driver's seat. They say she had a bullet wound to the head and the car's engine was still running.
Police say the victim's family describes her as estranged from the family, who lives place to place and has dealt with drug issues. Investigators believe her lifestyle may have played a role in her murder. They do not believe this was a random shooting.
"Trying to take all angles, narcotics deal gone bad or robbery gone bad or could be as simple as a vendetta against this person," said Sgt. Dave Walker, Tulsa Police.
Police said they're questioning two possible witnesses from an apartment complex about four miles east of the shooting scene.
Police canvassed the neighborhood and used K-9 officers to search the area. Detectives also tried to locate surveillance video from buildings in the area.
Sgt. Walker has not released the name of the woman.
