Fire destroyed a rural Sand Springs home southwest of town early Tuesday.
The Sand Springs Fire Department got the call at about 3:15 a.m. The home is located near West 61st Street and South 155th West Avenue.
Firefighters arrived to find flames coming through the roof and it soon collapsed. No firefighters were in the home at the time. The fire also destroyed a detached garage.
Sand Springs Fire Chief Mike Wood said neighbors told them the home had been a rental but the tenant had moved out and it was empty. They said the owner was renovating the home.
The department has an investigator on scene to determine what caused the fire.
