33rd Annual Tulsa Pride Festival And Parade Celebrated

Oklahomans for Equality is hosting Tulsa Pride Festival and Parade this weekend. The parade begins at 6 p.m. Saturday downtown.

Oklahomans for Equality is hosting Tulsa Pride Festival and Parade this weekend. The downtown event starts at noon and goes till 10 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

It's the longest running Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Pride festival in Oklahoma, celebrating its 33rd year in 2015.

Saturday's events take place in the East Village, at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center, 621 East 4th Street in Tulsa.

Entertainment on the main stage kicks off at noon. The big event is the parade at 6 p.m.

The festival will include a Battle of the Bands contest and an appearance from pop star Tiffany.

On Sunday, festivities continue with Pride in the Park in Centennial Park, 6th and Peoria.

The Tulsa Pride Parade will cause some road closures when it starts Saturday evening. The route runs from 13th and Boston, goes to 4th Street and ends at 4th and Kenosha.
