Tulsa Police say the overnight storms knocked out power to a number of signal lights across the community.
Police officer Jillian Roberson says drivers should be careful when approaching intersections as the lights may not be functioning properly. She says drivers should proceed as though there is a stop sign even if there aren't any in place at the time.
City crews are working to get stop signs to all intersections that are affected.
Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett is asking citizens to be patient as utility crews and city crews work to restore power and clean up debris.
City officials say the Tulsa Garden Center is closed due to downed trees.
Also, Lacy, McClure, Reed, and Whiteside pools are closed because there is no power.
The Red Cross has opened a cooling station at Crosstown Church of Christ at 3400 East Admiral Place for residents left without power after the storms. The cooling station will remain open until 8:00 p.m.
