The state Senate has unanimously passed a bill aimed at better regulating in drug rehab facilities.
It was written after several people died at the Narconon Arrowhead facility.
The bill requires the Board of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to up its standards. The agency would also have to offer a voluntary certification for programs not affiliated with a certified treatment plan.
The bill now heads to the governor.
