Residents Meet To Discuss Future Of Barnard Elementary Property

Neighbors are learning more about the company wanting to buy the old Barnard Elementary property at 17th and Lewis.

The Barnard building caught fire last year and was destroyed. Now, Quapaw Investments wants to buy the land and put a medical rehab center there.

But residents in the historic Yorktown neighborhood say they don't want a business moving in.

The residents on-hand Thursday night said what they'd really like is to have more homes built on the site.
