A Tulsa man is facing charges after the mother of a 12-year-old girl posed as her daughter on Facebook and caught the man trying to meet the girl for sex.
Jeffrey Adam Riggs, 29, is charged with soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology.
A 12-year-old Rogers County girl told her mother a man was trying to befriend her through Facebook, investigators say. The mom, posing as her daughter, started talking with the man. When he said he wanted to meet the girl for sex, the mom contacted police.
Investigators say no meeting ever actually occurred. Instead, a warrant was issued for Riggs' arrest. Investigators for Rogers County District Attorney Janice Steidley and the Verdigris Police arrested Riggs on Friday evening.
Riggs was booked into Rogers County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
