City Of Tulsa To Hold Free Landfill Days This Weekend

Free Landfill Days for city of Tulsa utility customers are scheduled Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22, 2012 at the Quarry Landfill on 46th Street North.

City officials say utility customers can dispose of unwanted items on those two days.

The Quarry Landfill will be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

You must show a City of Tulsa utility bill or a driver's license with an address within the Tulsa city limits in order to be admitted to the landfill.

No items containing Freon refrigerant will be accepted. There will be a $2 fee for each discarded tire and loads in trucks and trailers should be secured and covered to prevent contents from blowing out onto roadways and creating traffic hazards.

The Quarry Landfill is located at 13740 East 46th Street North approximately 1-1/2 miles east of U.S. Highway 169.
