Oral Roberts senior Dominique Morrison is a finalist for the Lou Henson Mid-Major Player of the Year Award and for the first time, fans help decide who wins.
Morrison is one of 12 nominees for the award that is presented annually to the top Mid-Major player in Division I college basketball.
This year's fan voting is the first time in college basketball history that students will lead campaigns on-campus to help their nominee win.
Morrison, a forward for the Golden Eagles, is averaging 20.3 points and four rebounds per game. He also boasts a 49.5 percent shooting average from the floor.
He now ranks seventh on the school's all-time scoring list and is also on pace become the seventh player in school history to score 2000 points.
In addition, Morrison was a two-time Summit League Player of the week in January which propelled him to being named the conference's player of the month for January.
He is a four-year starter for ORU who wasted no time getting down to business on the court as he set a freshman record for games started with 31. That season he averaged 8.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest.
Schools with Lou Henson nominees will activate grassroots campaigns on-campus to galvanize the student body in support their nominee and encourage voting online.

When he left the game in 2005 he was sixth all-time in career Division I wins with 779. He is the winningest coach at both Illinois and New Mexico State. He is one of only 12 coaches in the history of the game to take two schools to the Final Four.
