OKLAHOMA CITY – The Edmond North Huskies clinched a playoff spot Thursday with a 66-0 rout of the U.S. Grant Generals.
The Huskies (5-5, 4-3) dominated from start to finish, nearly doubling their previous mark for most points this season (38). They are guaranteed a trip to the postseason, but their seeding is still up in the air.
Edmond North trails Westmoore by one half-game for third place in the district, but the North defeated the Jaguars earlier in the season. So if Westmoore loses its season finale Friday against Lawton, Edmond North will receive the No. 3 district seed.
Meanwhile, U.S. Grant (0-10, 0-7) finished its season without a win for the second time in the last four years.
