OKLAHOMA CITY -- After dropping their first game of the season against Del City, the Putnam City Pirates rebounded Thursday with a 37-22 win over the Edmond NorthHuskies.
The Pirates (5-1, 2-1) are averaging 36 points per game this season and sit in the top half of the district after the first three weeks of district play. Putnam City will head to Mustang to take on the Broncos for a matchup that could determine who makes the playoffs out of the district.
Edmond North (2-4, 1-2) have now lost two consecutive games after starting district with a win over Del City. The Huskies will try to get back on track Friday Oct. 15 at home against the Westmoore Jaguars.
