NORMAN, Oklahoma -- The Norman Tigers continue to impress entering the halfway point of the 2010 season. The Tigers moved to 5-0 with a 50-20 victory over Shawnee Thursday.

Norman running back Donovan Roberts started the scoring with a 12-yard touchdown run to give the Tigers a 7-0 advantage in the first quarter. Roberts finished with four touchdowns in the first half and added one more in the second half.

Shawnee scored two late touchdowns with the game out of reach, but Norman's defense continued its dominance.

The Tigers are giving up less than 10 points per game entering October.
