BIXBY, Oklahoma -- The Union Trojans won their district-opener Friday, after beating the Bixby Spartans 28-3.
Union quarterback Kale Pearson handed off to running back Jalen Hearron, who ran it in for the first touchdown of the game, as the Trojans took a 7-0 lead.
Pearson later connected with Christian Hood on a long pass. The drive would ultimately stall after a few plays.
In the second quarter, Bixby quarterback T.J. Eckert faked a handoff, taking off down the sidelines to the five yard line.
The Spartans got on the board later in the quarter with a field goal to make it a 7-3 game.
The Trojans went on to win 28-3.
