TULSA, Oklahoma -- Sapulpa Junior High star Josh Davis was one of 18 players to compete on the United States 14-and-Under National Baseball team, the only Oklahoman to compete in the tournament.
The team competed in the Confederaci?n Pan-Americana de B?isbol July 23-July 31 and captured third place after topping Brazil 6-0 in its final game.
The outfielder was selected to the team as an outfielder when the player pool was whittled down from 39 players after a four-game trial period in Cary, North Carolina at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.
Davis has played locally for the Tulsa Hurricanes for the past six years and is starting his freshman year at Sapulpa Junior High in the upcoming school year.
