AUSTIN, Texas -- The Oklahoma City Barons clinched their spot in the playoffs Saturday with a 2-0 win over the Texas Stars.
Both goals came in the second period, with the first one coming from Milan Kytnar scored at the 6:47 mark. Kytnar’s flip shot was assisted by Tanner House and Alex Plante. The period’s second goal came from Collin McDonald at the 19:42 mark from Brad Moran and Mark Arcobello. McDonald tied Hamilton’s Nigel Dawes for league scoring with 41 goals apiece.
The Barons have one game left to complete their first season in Oklahoma City. They’ll travel to Houston to play the Aeros Sunday at 4:05 p.m. The game will determine the Barons’ seed and first-round opponent.
