NORMAN, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Sooners’ Jarvis Jones could miss six months to rehabilitate a torn right patella tendon.
Jones had surgery to repair the tendon Saturday, an injury the offensive tackle suffered in Friday’s practice.
The senior played in all 13 of the Sooners’ games last season, starting in four. OU Head Coach Bob Stoops said his team was not running full contact drills when Jones suffered his injury.
“We were in a team period and it just buckled on him,” Stoops said.
The Sooners’ head coach also said Jones could be back in late September or early October.
