Tulsa Softball Wins Rubber Match against UAB

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Tulsa won its rubber match against UAB 4-1 Sunday.

The Golden Hurricane (14-10, 2-1) did all of its damage in the early innings, scoring two runs in the first, and one in the second and third. The Blazers (15-7, 1-2) lone run came in the bottom of the sixth.

Lauren Menke’s solo homer in the third put TU on top 4-0. It was her only hit of the day as she went 1-for-3, with a RBI and a run scored.

Jordan Kinard went the distance for the Hurricane giving up just one run while scattering five hits. She improved to 5-3 on the season.

Tulsa travels to Atlanta to take on Mercer at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.
