OXFORD, Mississippi -- Mississippi head football coach Houston Nutt has hired Dave Rader as co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Also Monday, Nutt announced the appointment of longtime line coach Mike Markuson as co-offensive coordinator.
Rader replaces quarterbacks coach Kent Austin, who resigned to become head coach at Cornell.
Rader returns to collegiate coaching after three years in private business. Rader worked on Mike Shula's Alabama staff from 2003 to 2006 and head coach at Tulsa from 1988 to 1999.
Markuson has been a member of Nutt's staff for 16 years. Last season, he was the Rebels' running game coordinator and offensive line coach.
