STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy says starting tailback Kendall Hunter is no longer wearing a protective boot on his sprained right ankle and may be able to return to practice for the 16th-ranked Cowboys this week.
Hunter missed the Cowboys' win against Rice on Saturday and also didn't play in the second half of a loss against Houston two weeks ago. The junior had been the Big 12's leading rusher last season.
Gundy also says receiver Dez Bryant and cornerback Perrish Cox are "day-to-day" leading up to Oklahoma State's game against Grambling State of the Football Championship Subdivision on Saturday.
