Suspect Arrested In Deadly Tahlequah Shooting

CHEROKEE COUNTY – A Oktaha man is behind bars in connection with a deadly shooting in Tahlequah.

Bronson Butcher, 27, is being held at the Cherokee County Detention Center, an official with the detention center said.

Butcher is wanted in connection with the shooting death of Dane Dunegan, 55.

Investigators said Dunegan was shot multiple times inside a duplex at 152 West Wisteria Lane about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011. He died en route to a Tulsa hospital.
