TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- After a brief break from sweltering temperatures -- the National Weather Service is again issuing heat warnings for parts of eastern Oklahoma.
An excessive heat watch is in effect Friday and Saturday for Muskogee, Pittsburg, Sequoyah, McIntosh, Le Flore, Latimer and Haskell counties in eastern Oklahoma.
Heat indices in the area are expected to reach 105 to 110 degrees.
A heat advisory has been issued as well for southeastern Oklahoma.
