UNDATED -- A severe thunderstorm watch issued by the National Weather Service for Tulsa and surrounding counties has expired. The watch was issued through 9 p.m. Sunday.
Counties in the severe thunderstorm watch included Tulsa, Mayes, Okmulgee, Muskogee, McIntosh, Rogers and Creek.
The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings earlier in the evening Sunday for some central Oklahoma counties. Those were downgraded to severe thunderstorm warnings Sunday afternoon.
The warning included Cashion, Kingfisher, northwestern Oklahoma City, Okarche and Piedmont.
Severe thunderstorms rolled across central Oklahoma producing softball sized hail in parts of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area and causing major damage.
