Mother Of Accused Tulsa Killer Speaks Out

TULSA, OK -- The mother of a man accused of killing a baby speaks out.  Tulsa Police arrested Rico Green last week for the death of his girlfriend's son, Gerricho Griffin.

Reports say Green confessed to shaking the 17-month-old boy because he was playing in the toilet.  Green's mother says that's not true, that her son loved Gerricho and had been a part of the boy's life since he was four weeks old.

"Went to open the patio to let air in the house and the baby fell down the stairs. He did what most parents would do, he panicked that the child was hurt, then called 911 and went to the hospital and met the mother and grandmother and waited to see if the baby was going to be okay," said Judy Bowens.
