NORMAN, OK -- An Oklahoma basketball player has been suspended from the team following his weekend arrest on a complaint of suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Lieutenant Blake Green of the Norman Police Department says an officer stopped Ray Willis on campus about 3 a.m. yesterday. Willis was arrested without incident and taken to the Cleveland County Detention Center downtown.
The 19-year-old Atlanta resident was later released on bond.
After OU beat Colorado 77-72 yesterday, coach Jeff Capel said Willis was "suspended indefinitely," but he didn't elaborate.
Officials said today Capel wouldn't have any additional comment.
In September, Willis and OU football player Frank Alexander were stabbed during an altercation at a Norman nightclub and required hospitalization.
